Hi all it is me again your fearless leader lol.
I wanted to go through this dungeon as it seems as if there are alot of you who will be doing this regularly if you haven't already been.
This dungeon is pretty straight forward, kill anything and everything in site and then worry about the bosses. I will go through the 2 ways this dungeon can go, and what you have to do in each case.
The first thing you want to do in this dungeon no matter what is clear the ground floor out before you even talk to Meduze in the very beginning!!!! I can not stress that enough lol. After you clear the goblins out of there go back and then talk to Meduze and start the dungeon. The first stop she will make is right up the steps a little ways into the pathway, you will face an Undead Singing Girl and a Royal Skeleton, kill them both and then collect anything they drop. Either a royal badge or a shabby library token. Then continue down the walkway to where all the goblins were that you killed. Meduze will also stop there and tell you that it is a trap and that the goblins have taken over. This is where she will either go right or left through the portals to either side. After she makes her little speech another Royal Skeleton will appear to the left of the crypt in an alcove and an Undead Singing Girl will appear in the right alcove. Kill them both again and then follow Meduze whichever way she goes.
Fighting Oridoss Ending:
This is where Meduze heads left after you initially talk to her. Ok now with this dungeon, wether she goes left or right makes no difference in the beginning, the main thing after she picks her path is to hang her up hitting one mob while you clear out the whole entire place of all the goblins!!!! Make sure to go up all the stairs in there as there are alot of them.
Now that you have Meduze stuck up fighting with a goblin and you cleared out all of the others go back to her and kill the goblin she was fighting. She will head up the main stairway to the old throne room. A chest will appear but you can not open it no matter how hard you try.
While she is talking a cut scene will start and you get introduced to Grave Digger Sykes, he shows up with 2 cronies so buff up and kill all 3 of them. When the battle is over there will be another scene and you get introduced to the Seal Master Sarrios or something like that.
Now is where the seal master puts a bubble around Meduze so you have to go and kill him to release her from the bubble and continue the dungeon. Run over there and knock him and anything else out of the picture and head back to where Meduze was trapped in the bubble. There will be a goblin archer that pops up where she was stuck but don't worry about him for now. Meduze says she can not stay there any longer and has to leave, so escort her down the stairs towards the beginning of the dungeon. Before you get to the pathway leading back though you get met by Oridoss and another Royal Skeleton. You have to kill Oridoss and the Skeleton without having Meduze get killed. When you mopped up both of them, Meduze will continue down the pathway towards the beginning where she was when you came in. Just tag along and wait until she gets to the end and there you have it you cleared the dungeon.
I always go back and take out the goblin and the Skeleton that appeared after you released her because you get training points for killing them and you can also get a token from the Skeleton possibly. I will cover what all the items that drop from the Skeletons and the Undead Singing Girls in the next chapter here as that is where you will need them.
Fighting Meduze Ending:
Ok now Meduze heads to the right this time instead of left. The scene is similar to going left as you want to hang her up fighting one mob and go and clear out the whole dungeon of mobs. When you are done clearing everything that moves out of there go back and kill the goblin she has been working on and continue. She will head up the stairs where you can hang her up fighting the goblin and then go to the left and then up the stairs to the right a little ways down from where you came up from the ground floor. This is where it is tricky and you have to be quick and in position to open the first chest as it appears when she gets close. There is a table and an overturned lantern holder on the floor a little ways into the area, the chest will appear to the right of the table and close to the wall. As soon as it appears click on it (you will show 2 gears when you are over it) and open it before she gets to it. Bingo you got the first chest.
Now as soon as you get done with that run back down the stairs and head right, there is a room with 2 sets of stairs here and you want to run up the left set as you come into the room. As soon as you get up the first set of stairs you will see another set right in front of you, go up those also, the platform is bathed in blue looking light so it is hard to miss it. Wait up there for Meduze to make her merry way towards you and up the stairs. When she gets part way into the room Seal Master Sarrios or w/e his name is shows up with company but if you are up on that landing they will not attack you or Meduze so don't worry about them for now. Wait up there and the chest will appear right as Meduze gets to the top of the platform where you are, so you have to be really quick to get it open and grab the goods before she does. Great now you got the 2nd chest.
Go back down and kill the seal master and the 2 Undead Singing Girls that show up with him and then follow Meduze down the stairs. She will head towards an alcove along the wall and 2 Royal Skeletons and an Undead Singing Girl show up so you have to knock them off and take anything they drop. Now you can just take off and head over to the throne room area and just wait for Meduze to get there so the chest appears. Wait on the steps by the top of the raised dias and as soon as the final chest appears grab it and that is it.
As long as you were able to get all 3 chests before Meduze you will fight her at the end and not the other guys. As soon as she realizes you beat her to the goods she turns on you and you have to kill her in order to finish the dungeon, so knock her off and there you have it. You can get some nice gems from the chest and you also get the Meduze's Treasure chest which can contain some pretty nice things.
Ok now you are probably wondering why you have those quest items in your bag like the shabby library token, roayl badge, and one other I can not recall at the moment, (lack of sleep does funny things to your memory lol). Anyway those 3 items you get from the Skeletons and the Girls are important as they are what allow you to open the chests that pop up when Meduze goes to the right. That is why you want to save them whenever you can and make sure to have them in your inventory when you enter the dungeon as they do not always drop all the time.
